The Venus Awards have been coined by National TV as the ‘Working Women’s Oscars’, and the most glamorous event of the working women's Business Calendar.

The awards were set up in 2009 to recognise and reward local working women across the Country. The Venus Awards have expanded, being welcomed in 12 regions and requested in 35 more – helping women across the country get the recognition and PR that goes with it. The Venus Awards were set up in Dorset in 2009 by Tara Howard to recognise the hard work, effort and skill it takes women to successfully juggle business with other commitments.
